DRIVE LOCK

Drive Lock is an adapter that is being used to prevent accidental data writes to a suspect's hard drive during a Forensic Data Seizure event, while reviewing or analyzing a hard drive, or in any other event when you need to protect your hard drive.
This is a stand alone unit that works with every IDE hard drive and can be connected to your PC or to any ICS unit.

It is a physical device that is connected in series between the Image MASSter Solo I or Solo 2 and the suspect’s IDE drive.

It will function properly whether the system is transferring data using PIO mode or Ultra DMA mode.

No special software is needed for the device; however, the latest Solo software has the ability to sense the existence of the device, and to warn the user if an inadvertent write is about to occur.
