CopyPro is committed in providing our customers with products that conform to worldwide RoHS directives. CopyPro products compliant with the RoHS EU directive will be marked with a RoHS Product label. The RoHS Product label is located in proximity to the equipment's CE Mark label.

RoHS Regulations Worldwide
Worldwide there are four major (RoHS or RoHS related) environmental regulations that are implemented or will be implemented in the near future.
RoHS EU (Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) takes effect July 1, 2006
-- Bans the use of materials, such as lead, mercury and cadmium in electronic products sold in Western Europe.
WEEE Directive EU (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) takes effect August 13, 2005
-- Requires companies selling electronic products in Europe to set up collection and recycling systems for these goods at end-of life.
ELV EU (End of Life Vehicle) effective March 3, 2005
-- To prevent waste from end-of-life vehicles and promote the collection, re-use and recycling of their components to protect the environment.

-- Mandates the recovery of lead used in home electronics

Additional RoHS Information
The RoHS EU directives implemented by the European Commission will restrict the use of some substances in most electrical and electronic equipment starting 1 July 2006. The Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive requires that mercury, cadmium, lead, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) be eliminated from most electrical and electronic equipment.

The CopyPro RoHS Product label is located in proximity to the equipment's CE Mark label. The RoHS complaint product will be identified by labeling similar to the two labels shown below.
