I'm attempting to install WINNT, Win98, or Win2000 on the computer that came integrated with the 5500 and I'm getting Boot_Device_Inaccessible Blue Screen or no Hard drive detected. The motherboard has dual IDE controllers. The ATA100 controller that the HD is attached to does not have support native to these OS's. User must physically attach HD to the other IDE controller, install the OS, install the promise ata100 driver from the Asus CD within the newly installed OS, then switch the IDE connection back. You will have to remove the cover to make the hardware change. This was only on the A7V133 motherboard from Asus. Standard Commands (Mode 0)
